Coll graduated from the School of Pharmacy, University of London in 1972. Preregistration experience at Radcliffe Chemists of Wembley was followed by 23 years in partnership with brother Garry at M+M Pharmacy's London City and Watford branches. Subsequent years have passed working on pharmacy IT systems with the MEDIPhASE team and latterly the Pharmacy Services department at IMS Health, where he continues as a consultant. He acquired Calverton Pharmacy in Luton in 2000 and was a PEC Pharmacist at Luton PCT until recently. He is currently Chair of Bedfordshire LPC. Coll was elected onto the NPA Board in March 2005, and is Chairman of the Business Development Committee.
