Hiten Patel qualified in 1981 from Brighton School of Pharmacy. He owns a pharmacy in West Ealing and is interested in long term conditions and public health, particularly healthcare screening. He has in the past been a member of the PEC at NHS Ealing. He is currently the Chairman of Ealing Hammersmith and Hounslow LPC and vice-chairman of the Middlesex Group of LPCs (representing 550 contractors). He also sits on the national Joint EPS User Group.
Hiten is the managing director of Pharmaplus, a support group which provides professional and commercial assistance to nearly two hundred pharmacies, predominantly based around Southeast area.
He is married to Ragini and they have two children. He enjoys travelling and all sports, especially golf and cricket.
