Paul Bennett graduated from the University of Bradford in 1984 with a degree in Pharmacy and completed his pre-registration year with Boots the Chemists in 1985. Joining Safeway Stores Ltd in 1990, Paul was appointed Superintendent Pharmacist and then General Manager before joining Alliance Pharmacy in 2005. He is currently Professional Standards Director and Superintendent Pharmacist, Boots UK Ltd. He returned to academia to read law as an external student at the Open University in 2002 and obtained a Bachelor of Law degree in 2006.
Paul was first appointed to the Practice Committee of the NPA Board of Management in 2005 as the co-opted member for Alliance Pharmacy. He now represents Alliance Boots on the NPA Board and is a former NPA Chairman. He is also currently a Director of the Company Chemists Association, a member of the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee, Vice Chair of its Service Development Subcommittee and a member of its Review & Audit panel and Appointments Panel. Paul currently chairs the Practice and Policy Standing Committee of the NPA and is a member of the Nominations & Remuneration Committee.
