Raj Kumar Aggarwal also represents members in Wales. He was in senior management with Boots until 1983, and is a Board member of Community Pharmacy Wales and Chairman of the South East region. He is also Chairman of the Kidney Wales Foundation, a Welsh Assembly Government advisor on various health and pharmaceutical committees, a former member of the Ministerial Pharmacy Strategic Delivery Group, Health Wales columnist for the Western Mail, a director and Board member of the Cardiff Business Club, past Chairman of the Asian Society of Wales, President of the Overseas Students Association, and won the Health and Beauty Retailer 2003 award and the prestigious UK Clarins Gold Salon Award 2008. Raj was awarded an OBE in 2007 for services to pharmacy, the Asian community and charitable services. He is also a Board member of both the Wales International Business Council and Wales Millennium Centre, and won the 2010 Pharmacy Business Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the 2011 Welsh Chemist Review special award for Outstanding Contribution to Pharmacy. This year Raj was invited to join the Council of the prestigious ‘ Russell group’ Cardiff University. Raj was awarded an OBE in 2007 for services to pharmacy, the Asian Community and charitable services, and is the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of South Glamorgan.
