Raj R Patel was recently elected to the NPA Board to represent members in South East England.
He is Superintendent Pharmacist and Managing Director of Mount Elgon Pharmacy in Wimbledon which, since 2005, has been the recipient of numerous awards. Raj is a community pharmacist representative for the Medicines Management Committee of Sutton and Merton PCT, Chairman of the Local Pharmaceutical Committee and a consultant pharmacist for the Blood Pressure Association. He has also worked with Croydon PCT as a consultant to GPs and helping them to achieve Quality Indicator targets in coronary heart disease, diabetes, hypertension and asthma.
He began his career with Boots and has worked as a locum both for the multiple and independent sectors. Before joining the NPA Board, Raj was an NPA spokesperson in the local and national media, has spoken on local radio and appeared on national TV.
