The NPA is based in Mallinson House, a listed building of both architectural and historical interest, centrally located in St Albans. Chief Executive Vacancy
Reporting to the Chairman, the Chief Executive leads the senior executive team in delivering the Association’s strategic plan and its financial targets. He/she will play an active role in campaigning for the sector, and in ensuring NPA continues to deliver the best possible service to its membership.
Candidates are likely to have experience either of working in or with the community pharmacy sector or in another membership organisation. They will have significant senior leadership experience and a successful record in financial management and the delivery of commercial services. Experience of successful campaigning or representation to government will be especially helpful.
The role requires strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills. Clarity of thinking and strategic ability are essential, coupled with the implementation skills to put strategy into practice. The ability to work effectively with the elected Board is vital, as are the interpersonal skills necessary to engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
This is a challenging and important senior leadership opportunity at the head of a successful and respected trade body. It is a wide-ranging role, bringing variety and a breadth of interest, as well as the satisfaction of championing an important community service as it faces a time of change.
