    Promoting Your Pharmacy

"Marketing is the management process responsible for identifying, anticipating and satisfying customer requirements profitably"
    (Chartered Institute of Marketing definition)

How can marketing help my business?

Without customers you don't have a business. Saftisying your customers needs (and making a profit) should be central to everything you do.

We have produced several guides to help you get started.

The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) offers a free tool to help you write your marketing plan, and the business link website offers practical advice and downloads.

    Ask Your Pharmacist

The NPA works to raise the profile of community pharmacy amongst the general public, in particular raising awareness about the nature and true value of community pharmacy as a professional service.   In 2009, our long running Ask Your Pharmacist consumer campaign was focused on:

    • Promoting community pharmacy as a public health service provider – specifically around sexual health, vascular screening and health inequalities
    • Promoting the community dispensing service as a safe, professional, responsive service
    • Promoting community pharmacy as a “quality assured” service provider
