  • Introduction to influenza and the need to vaccinate.
  • Vaccine Administration.
  • Intramuscular injection practice.
  • Recognition & management of anaphylaxis.
  • Basic Life Support.

All pharmacists present were awarded a certificate."

"There has always been scope for pharmacy based flu vaccination service especially when the NHS only provides for over 65 and at risk groups only. From business economics £370 is easily a worthwhile investment.

The actual training was very much ‘hands on’ and I feel very comfortable at the prospect of commencing this soon.Overall the day covered all aspects of training well especially 'trouble shooting"

'It was a convenient service as I work every day and find it difficult to visit the GP.  However my GP could not vaccinate me as I was not an 'at risk' patient and was told there are not enough vaccines for my 'patient group'.  The professionalism of the pharmacist was excellent and I will definately recommend the service.'
