A number of legislative, contractual, ethical and professional requirements govern owners of retail pharmacy businesses, superintendent pharmacists and responsible pharmacists.
We have launched a number of useful resources designed to support superintendent pharmacists in knowing where the responsibilities of their own roles and that of their colleagues lie. The resources cover the professional responsibilities of owners and sole traders, superintendent pharmacists and responsible pharmacists and will support superintendent pharmacists and owners in delegating jobs to their staff appropriately and ensuring that the correct procedures are in place for the safe and effective running of the pharmacy. We have included a list of all SOPs needed within a pharmacy.
