An NPA member has raised over £1,500 for Cancer Research by selling raffle tickets, charity ribbons and running games including ‘guess how many sweets are in the jar.’

The team at Tims and Parker Pharmacy in Worsley, also dressed up in their pyjamas to highlight their fundraising drive.

Jonathan Hill, a pharmacist at Tims and Parker Pharmacy in Ellenbrook said:

“The whole community really got behind our fundraising efforts. We had local businesses donating prizes for the raffle, pharmacy staff dressing in their pyjamas to encourage people to donate and customers who helped us to raise money for a very worthy charity. Pharmacy is such an important part of the local community, we wanted to make the most of this community spirit to help to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.”

The fundraising story is featured on the NPA’s We Care website which celebrates the achievements of pharmacy teams across the UK. NPA members are encouraged to share stories about their achievements and learnings via www.npa.co.uk/we-care.
