NPA Online Pharmacy Services Group – take control of the digital landscape

It’s no secret that the internet is providing customers far more choice when it comes to how, and where they get their healthcare.

That’s why it’s so important for those pharmacies who provide an online service to be doing everything they can, to maximise their digital offering and get the right help and advice in doing so.

By being part of the NPA’s newly formed Online Pharmacy Services Group, you can have your say in the support that the NPA provides and also help influence national policy in this area. We want to help you operate efficiently, integrate more fully with other health services and give patients the best possible experience of online pharmacy services. What are the issues that crop up when you provide online pharmacy services? What further support would you like to see? What is a good example of best practice for NPA members to easily follow? All these questions and more will be discussed led by NPA board member and Chair of the Membership Committee Jay Badenhorst. Speakers at the upcoming event include: • Lynda Scammell, Senior Policy Manager for the MHRA, who will talk about regulatory matters concerning online supply of medicines. • Dr Aalok Shukla, CEO of Instant Dentist, who will speak about how pharmacies can differentiate themselves by going live with in-store digital dentist services and gain new revenue streams through digital dental consultations and new private prescriptions. • Nigel Baker, Managing Director at The Pharmacy Centre, who will shed light on how independent pharmacies can compete online with the UK’s largest pharmacies, without needing the same degree of resourcing that this would normally involve.…

We are inviting NPA members to a series of virtual forums. You are invited to contribute to the NPA’s understanding of what is important to you, as you lead your businesses and teams to a new way of working and potential opportunity to develop some new models of care. We want to feed your voice directly into our submissions.
