Professional organisations collaborate to give independent community pharmacists easier access to essential medicines information
29 May 2020
Pharmaceutical Press from the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and the National Pharmacy Association are pleased to support independent community pharmacists with their announcement today, of the launch of a special rate subscription to essential information resources through MedicinesComplete, only for independent community pharmacists.
In response to many requests to make it easier for independent community pharmacists to access essential medicines information the two professional organisations have worked together to listen to independent pharmacists’ needs and create a tailored and affordable offer.
“Pharmaceutical Press and the National Pharmacy Association have been discussing how to best support independent community pharmacists for some time, specifically how to offer access to critical medicines information at an affordable price. We have been planning this release for a year, but with the current situation now is the right time to make it easier for community pharmacists to protect patient safety, by creating an enhanced offer that will allow access to our trusted evidence-based medicines information at a price that is affordable.” Nic Potter, Sales and Marketing Director, Pharmaceutical Press.
Recognising the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted heavily on community pharmacists, those who subscribe by 12th June will further benefit from an additional 2 months’ worth of access completely free of charge.
MedicinesComplete makes it easy for healthcare professionals to access essential medicines information at the point of care. The special rate subscription for independent community pharmacists includes access to Martindale: The Complete Drug Reference and Martindale’s Adverse Drug Reactions Checker; Stockley’s Drug Interactions and Stockley’s Interaction Checker; plus, the British National Formulary and BNF for Children.
