Review and update your pharmacy DoS Profile and NHS website profile ahead of the Spring Bank Holiday
22 May 2020
Pharmacy contractors should review their NHS 111 Directory of Services (DoS) Profile, and the NHS website profile, ahead of the Spring Bank Holiday on Monday 25 May 2020 to ensure that the pharmacy’s opening hours over the Bank Holiday weekend are accurate.
While pharmacies have not been mandated by NHS England & NHS Improvement (NHSE&I) to remain open on the Spring Bank Holiday, in some areas, some pharmacies will be opening under local arrangements.
- If you have already updated your DoS profile to reflect your pharmacy opening hours, then this remains in place.
- If however, your pharmacy opening hours are going to be different due to locally agreed arrangements from that on the DoS profile, then please ensure that you update them ahead of Monday 25 May 2020. The DoS profile updater tool is available here.
- If you have to make a last minute change (for example, due to staff illness), you will need to use the DoS emergency change number instead: 0300 0200 363 (as well as notifying NHSE&I).
Pharmacy contractors are advised to review and update your pharmacy’s NHS website profile entry as well for the upcoming spring bank holiday, Monday 25 May 2020. You may find the step-by-step guide on how to update your NHS website profile useful.
