These FAQ’s are updated regularly and cover the period between June and September.   Question: Is it mandatory for all pharmacy staff to wear face coverings in the pharmacy? (England) Answer: According to the Government announcement made on 22/9/20, guidance stating that face coverings and visors should be worn in close contact services will now become law (from 24 September). The NPA suggests that  all members of staff wear face coverings (unless an exemption applies), or face masks as appropriate to the services they are providing.   Question: Are NHS QR codes posters mandatory for community pharmacies to display? (England) Answer: According to the Government announcement made on 22/9/20, businesses will need to display the official NHS QR code posters so that customers can ‘check-in’ at different premises using this option as an alternative to providing their contact details once the app is rolled out nationally (from 24 September). The NPA has contacted the QR code support helpline and we have been advised that although QR posters are not required for community pharmacies, it might make some customers feel more protected knowing that they can scan the code and in case of an outbreak in an area they could be notified much quicker.…
