The NPA has published a summary of the NHS England-commissioned Independent Economic Analysis of Community Pharmacy Finances. The NPA document simplifies the findings of the original report and make recommendations.

The NHS-commissioned report was of such significance that we felt it needed to be boiled down for busy pharmacy contractors – most of whom do not have the luxury of time to read the original

We are also recommending that NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care work with Community Pharmacy England to model the effect of the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 CPCF settlement on the financial sustainability of community pharmacies and publish this analysis, to inform the consultation on the CPCF for 2026/2027.
