Commenting on record levels of satisfaction in community pharmacy, Henry Gregg, Chief Executive of the National Pharmacy Association said:
"It is a testament to the incredible work of pharmacies across the country that we have broken a new record in patient satisfaction this year, with 9 in 10 people having a good experience when visiting their local pharmacy last year.
"Despite increasing workload pressures, pharmacies can be proud that they continue to deliver a first-class service, achieving the highest levels of patient satisfaction anywhere in primary care.
"This survey also shows that although the majority of patients visit their pharmacy to collect prescriptions, more people are coming to use other services, such as to check blood pressure, get advice or through referral from other parts of the health system."
