Travel Health PGDs

The NPA’s business partners, offer a wide range of travel health services/PGDs. These allow pharmacists to supply vaccinations and medicines to support patients before they travel abroad. To explore the range of our PGD providers.

Pharmadoctor travel health service

Authorises pharmacists to supply a range of vaccinations and travel-related medicines under a PGD, including:

  • Antimalarials (e.g. atovaquone/proguanil, doxycycline, mefloquine)

  • Common travel vaccinations (e.g. Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Cholera, Hepatitis B, Japanese Encephalitis, Rabies, Yellow Fever*)

  • Other travel-related treatments (e.g. traveller’s diarrhoea, altitude sickness prevention, jet lag management)

Also includes clinical resources and marketing materials to help you promote your travel health service to patients, to purchase from Pharmadoctor and obtain a 10% NPA member discount on service packages.

ECG travel health PGDs

The ECG travel health PGDs authorise the supply of a selection of travel vaccinations and medicines, providing a flexible paper-based option for pharmacists. To purchase from ECG training, visit their page. Prices are already discounted for NPA members, under the ‘members’ section.

Travel Health Services

To achieve a successful and profitable travel health service, it’s essential to promote it effectively to your local community — especially in the lead-up to holiday seasons. Promotion can be delivered through staff engagement, targeted campaigns, and visual materials such as posters, leaflets, pharmacy TV screens, and website banners.
