Ask Your Pharmacist Week is the flagship annual public awareness campaign for community pharmacy across the UK. AYP Week this year is 1–8 November.

This year the theme is ‘Your local pharmacy can help’.
The range of clinical services provided by community pharmacies has expanded significantly in recent years, and several more NHS services have come on stream in 2021. Many people do not yet know about these new services, and might only have a vague knowledge of more established pharmacy services.
The central message of this campaign is:
Your local pharmacy can help. Don’t miss out on NHS support available conveniently and close to home, in your local pharmacy.

Invite local politicians to visit your pharmacy:
Many pharmacies take the opportunity to invite their local MP/MSP/MS/MLA or councillors to visit their pharmacy during Ask Your Pharmacist Week. This helps brings local politicians up to speed on latest developments and can also get you free, positive publicity for your pharmacy.
To make this easy for you, here’s a template letter/email you can adapt and send:
