An exciting opportunity for a pharmacy student after completion of Pharmacy degree to have a one-year placement 2024-25. We are looking for someone who is determined, confident, willing to get involved in all areas and is flexible.
This is a joint programme in which the candidate will be trained in the community pharmacy and The Manor Practice GP surgery in Leyton E10.
Multi-sector rotations give trainee pharmacists experience across sectors of practice whilst learning and evidencing their development against the General Pharmaceutical Council learning outcomes. The NHS People Plan (2020/21) emphasises the importance of multi-sector training for early career pharmacists to meet the workforce needs of integrated care systems (ICS) as part of the NHS Long Term Plan.
This is a placement like no other and will allow you to stand out in the field of pharmacy, it will give you a chance to develop your experience and learn in areas that you may not have experience in, from dispensing to GP practice.
The Pre-registration Pharmacist will help with all duties in the day to day running of the dispensary in a fast paced pharmacy which provides great customer service and clinical skills. The pharmacy is involved in the delivery of all essential, enhanced and advances services of pharmacy contract.
Rotations in general practice will provide an understanding of working within a multidisciplinary team and learning how pharmacy plays an integral role in patient care.
Cross sector placement in hospital arranged. External training will be provided.
