Job Description

We are looking for a Dispenser or Technician for our busy pharmacy in West Sussex. The ideal candidate is already qualified to NVQ2 equivalent or higher, but we would consider experienced applicants still in training.

In particular, the role involves:

Fulfilling prescriptions, including assembly of medicines (bagged and MDS), operating our Patient Medication Record (PMR) system and controlling stock

Working within legal frameworks and pharmacology/ physiology best-practice to operate effectively in our team and to mitigate risks

Assisting customers with Prescription Only Medicines and retailed medications, and supporting various health services (eg smoking cessation and health checks)

Performing Shop tasks such as serving customers, replenishing shelves, setting up point-of-sale materials and general housekeeping

Complying with reporting requirements, such as auditing, collating and submitting data.

The position is full time (nominally 35 hours per week) and asks for flexibility to cover other staff absences.
