About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Business Development consultant to join our Business Development Team. The successful applicant for this role will be a self-driven, commercially experienced individual with a proven ability to both drive and secure sales, and establish and manage relationships.

 

Objectives of this Role
Identifying and driving new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing customers and working closely with the lead on the business growth strategy. This will involve identifying leads, conducting demonstrations and negotiating subscription agreements.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Generating leads and actioning warm leads
  • Sales presentations and product demonstrations
  • Negotiating sales contracts and sales conversion
  • Sales administration and maintaining customer records
  • Conducting regular market research
  • Meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Communicate with customers and identify customer needs
  • Assist in developing the business development strategy
  • Deploying the overall business development strategy and executing the sales objectives
  • Build strong relationships with industry professionals, customers, vendors and other stakeholders
  • Preparing weekly reports
  • Collaboration with the business development team to create new project strategies
  • Actualizing consistent new customer acquisitions

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role (customer-facing) or a sales position or clinical engagement role
  • Understand legislative requirements for schedule 8 / controlled medications
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors
  • Effective problem solving skills to work through a number of steps, stages and or barriers to achieve the overall goal
  • Ability to make sound evidence based decisions under pressure
  • Proven skills in defining, prioritising and organising competing tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability to demonstrate the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity at all times
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Computer literacy
