Job Title
Pre-Registration Pharmacist 2020/21

To support compliance with all statutory and professional requirements of a registered retail pharmacy business and to develop competence through training and regular appraisals
To assist in the operations and dispensing of prescriptions and the supply of pharmaceutical products including controlled drugs and appliances ensuring safety and clinical appropriateness
Responds to symptoms and recommend appropriate OTC medication
Counsel and advise patients appropriately under supervision
To participate in the training programme as required by the General Pharmaceutical Council and prepare for the pre-registration examination
To be responsible for self directed learning to support the collection of a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate competence and participate in appraisals with the pre-registration tutor as per our training and GPhC programme compliance
To plan own workload and study time to develop organisational skills and support the provision of a timely pharmaceutical service
To communicate and liaise effectively with other members of the healthcare professions and build relationships with external organisations such as GP surgeries
Respect confidentiality of information concerning customers and staff in accordance with the Data Protection Act

£22,000/annum salary
Tier 2 sponsorship licence
Salary for overseas students requiring Tier 2 visas – negotiable
Bright newly refurbished pharmacy with modern consultation room
Commissioned to provide several NHS services
Good rapport with all the local surgeries and LPCs
Busy dispensary with friendly support staff
Short working hours 9am – 6pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour lunch break and 9am to 1pm on Saturday
External training day in Central London once a month
Four weeks paid holiday
