We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive student to join our friendly team.
We provide a variety of Private and NHS services such as MURs, NMS, NUMSAS, Chlamydia screening, NRT Vouchers, Care Home dispensing etc..
37.5 Hour contract for 1 year contract; July 2019 to July 2020.
Trainee will be allocated study time in the lead up to the exam- Terms and Conditions to be discussed.
Trainee must have successfully completed a Master of Pharmacy degree course- MPharm or equivalent meeting GPHC requirements.
The applicant will support the day to day running of the Pharmacy.
Duties include: Developing clinical knowledge, Dispensing of NHS and Private Prescriptions, dealing with prescription interventions, providing advice to patients on Minor Ailments, providing healthy living advice, supporting staff with sales, dealing with stock rotation and liaising with Doctors, Dentists and Nurses.
The Trainee will prepare or direct the preparation of prescribed medicaments in liquid, powder, tablet, ointment or other form following prescriptions issued by medical doctors and other health professionals.
They will advise health professionals on the selection and appropriate use of medicines.
They will check that recommended doses are not being exceeded and that instructions are understood by patients.
