Medi‐Shop Ltd is a group of independent pharmacies located within Hertfordshire & Essex. Our mission is to provide a route to a healthy lifestyle for our patients, and we aim to go about this through the following ways:

– Providing a wide range of NHS and Private services that cover different aspects of healthy living.
– Training staff to a high standard so they can provide a professional service to meet the customers’ expectations.
– Having robust Standard Operating Procedures that enable staff to act efficiently and safely for the benefits of the patients.
– Putting the pharmacist at the forefront of all services carried out in the pharmacy, so that he/she can be the most accessible staff member for patients.

Exciting Pre­‐Registration positions are available for the year 2016/2017 at Bedwell Pharmacy, Cheshunt Pharmacy, Wormley Medical Centre & Boreham Pharmacy. All pharmacies are located next to a local GP surgery, providing the Pre-­Registration Students with an excellent opportunity to network with a wide range of professionals. Furthermore, we are able to offer a unique experience where the Pre-­Registration Student will work with a pharmaceutical wholesaler for a week to gain an insight on the importance of stock control in a global market.
We have developed a thorough training plan for the pre‐registration year that will allow an understanding of all areas of community pharmacy practice and provide opportunities to work through all the standards set out by the GPhC. Additionally, monthly training days will be provided to assist with exam preparation, as well as having regular reviews with your tutor.

Candidate Skills Required:

– Previous community pharmacy work experience.
– Management and organisational skills ­‐ keen to lead and develop pharmacy staff including dispensers and assistants to meet targets and deliver outstanding service to the local community.
– An excellent communicator who is confident at networking and building a relationship with patients and local healthcare professionals in the community.
– Service-­‐focused and enthusiastic for the new pharmacy contract. Keen to develop and grow services.
– Self-­motivated, uses initiative, prioritise workload and achieves optimum levels of personal effectiveness.
