Job Description

The position is a full time Superintendent Pharmacist responsible for the full control of pharmacy and shop.

We are an independent unopposed community pharmacy owned by a long-established family in Fochabers. The business has been operating since 1816 and has been owned by us since 1963.

The position of full-time Superintendent Pharmacist/ Manager is offered due to the retiral of the current pharmacist who has been in post for 33 years.

The pharmacy is located in the desirable village of Fochabers, 10 miles east of Elgin on the banks of the River Spey. It has a population of 1,700 however many visitors/tourists are attracted to this area of Moray. The pharmacy benefits from a prominent trading location on the main street that passes through the village and close to the doctor’s surgery. The pharmacy also attracts custom from the surrounding villages outside Fochabers. The average monthly NHS items is 6,700.

The premises also has strong retail sales which consist of newsagents, gifts/cards, stationery, toys, kids clothing and toiletries.

The pharmacist’s responsibilities would be to;

• Lead by example, maintaining professional standards whilst being approachable and helpful to the team and customers alike
• Responsible for staff recruitment
• Maintain sales, services, and profitability in a cost- effective, efficient and safe manner
