Job Description
You will become a member of our team dealing with all aspects of community pharmacy, from over the counter knowledge, dispensing, clinical checking and legal requirements.
You will participate in all areas of dispensing from assembly to checking enabling them to gain sufficient experience and knowledge. We also have patients on MDS and you will participate in the assembly of these too.
We provide the following NHS services here; Flu vaccines, Needle exchange, EHC, Supervised consumption, MUR, NMS, Minor Ailments. You will experience how these schemes are implemented and run and the effects and benefits these have for patients.
We operate a private travel clinic which is very busy so you will soon become very familiar with the provision of advice for travellers with regards to Malaria prophylaxis, vaccination schedules, diseases, the sources for the most up do date advice, symptoms and treatment.
You also get to go on training days with an external training provider. These training days cover a wide range of subjects and areas including calculations, responding to symptoms, GPhC performance standards and many more.
