Job Description

We are currently recruiting to fill the positions of TWO Pre-registration pharmacists within our organisation for 2019-20.

EJ’s Pharmacy is a small independent group located in Derby with a longstanding local history.
We have good links with the local surgeries.
The Pre-registration tutors assigned for this year have substantial experience in community pharmacy and maintain links across the region enabling the provision of diverse perspectives should the trainee require additional training.

EJ’s pharmacy currently boasts a 100% pass record with respect to the Pre-registration examination and will endeavour to ensure the successful candidates maintain this.

Suitable candidates to start late July, 2019 (some flexibility will be allowed to accommodate the successful applicants).

The right candidates will be offered a one year placement to gain training in providing community pharmacy services, show competence in statutory & professional standards as set by GPhC & prepare & undertake the GPhC registration exam.

Develop competencies via training & regular appraisals to provide excellent professional services.
Assist in operations & dispensing ensuring safety & clinical efficacy.
Counsel patients under supervision.
Engage in appraisals with the tutors, attend & complete all courses & meetings & be responsible for self directed learning to collect a portfolio of evidence to show competences as per company & GPhC requirements.
Liaise with other healthcare professionals & organisations like NHS England.
Respect customers & staff confidentiality as per the Data Protection Laws.
Comply with Health & Safety aspects & safe use of equipment
