Job Description

Faro Pharmacy is a long-established and proactive independent community pharmacy in London.

We have been providing a highly successful pre-registration training programme with excellent pass rates for ten years and are once again looking for a pre-registration pharmacist who wishes to complete a 12-month training programme in line with the GPhC performance standards.

The successful candidate will be tutored and mentored by the highly experienced full-time Pharmacist Manager & Tutor who has successfully trained pre-registration pharmacists for many years.

In addition to preparing you to pass the pre-registration examination, this is an exciting opportunity for you to put the theory that you have acquired into practice and to learn all the aspects of running a thriving community pharmacy.

You will learn how to how to operate a Healthy Living Pharmacy and provide value adding services such as medication use reviews, smoking cessation, needle exchange, supervised methadone consumption, new medicine service and flu vaccination as part of your training.

To support you with your learning you will attend a series of workshops and structured courses that will cover topics such as public health & policy, responding to symptoms, calculations, law and ethics, first aid training, clinical pharmacy (covering areas such as gastro intestinal system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, nervous system, infections, endocrine system, immune system, blood & nutrition), drug tariff and exam preparation amongst others.

The pharmacy is located within walking distance of Latimer Road Station, Shepherd’s Bush Underground and Overground Stations (All Zone 2)

Salary: £19,000.00 to £21,000.00 /year
