Job Description
We are looking for a Pre-registration pharmacist who wishes to complete a 12-month training programme in line with the GPhC performance standards.
In addition to preparing you to pass the Pre-registration examination, this is an exciting opportunity for a pharmacy graduate who wants to put the theory that they have acquired into practice and to learn all the aspects of running a community pharmacy.
You will learn about services such as medication use reviews, smoking cessation, needle exchange, supervised methadone consumption and new medicine service as part of your training.
To support you with your learning you will attend a series of workshops and structured courses and will cover topics such as public health & policy, responding to symptoms, calculations, law and ethics, first aid training, clinical pharmacy (covering gastro intestinal system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, nervous system, infections, endocrine system, immune system, blood & nutrition), drug tariff and exam preparation amongst others.
