CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR PART-TIME DISPENSER IMMEDIATE START

We are a friendly, local, independent retail pharmacy based in the St Albans, Hertfordshire.
We are situated in a purpose-built building adjacent to the Hatfield Road GP Surgery.
We are looking to recruit a Part time Pharmacy Dispenser / Dispensing Assistant to join our dynamic team to provide a high level of service.
The new member will support the pharmacist and team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the pharmacy and retail area.
The job role:
• To prepare and dispense NHS and Private prescriptions.
• Be able to assist in all parts of the dispensary such as dossette boxes, re-ordering prescriptions and handling repeat medications.
• Assist in pharmacy services e.g. Health Checks Stop smoking service, Flu and Vaccination Travel clinic.
• To provide appropriate advice to customers on minor ailments and where appropriate refer them to the pharmacist.
• To also be able to work on the medicine counter as required.
• To create a professional relationship with patients.
• Support in resolving patient queries and liaising with GP surgeries.
• Recommend over the counter products to patients and provide advice on leading a healthy lifestyle.
• Oversee prescription collection service.
• Maintain pharmacy stock by ensuring good stock rotation and date checking.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards in the dispensary and ensure all SOPs are followed.
• To help patients with their needs and queries.
Job Type: Part-time
The position is for 20 hours a week over 5 days.
