Job Description
We have a vacancy for a pharmacy counter assistant.
The role will involve:
• Selling medications over the counter,
• Ordering medicines and stock for the shop,
• Dealing with suppliers,
• Checking invoices and statements,
• Working on the pharmacy cashier system,
• Expiry date check and stock rotation and cleaning the shelves,
• Merchandise the shop floor and stock replenishment.
Training will be provided via our training provider (National Pharmaceutical Association), to become a recognised medicine counter assistant.
If you would like to continue training, the dispensary assistant training will be encouraged and provided by us.
The first 3 months or more (depending on the candidate) will be a probationary period.
Contracted hours can be agreed with the management based on the candidate needs and other members of our staff, total will be around 24 hours per week.
Following the probationary period, a contract can be signed.

Pay is £7.5 per hour, and will meet the government minimum wages requirement in the future, and the pay can go up based on the successful completion of the dispensary training.
