Job Description

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Independent prescribing Pharmacist to work within a multidisciplinary team in a GP Dispensing practice. You would be joining a team of GPs, ANPs, IPs, specialist nurses and HCPs providing a high standard of healthcare provision. The role will be divided into areas, working within a medicines management team, an acute ‘on the day’ clinic, long term conditions and an onsite 100 hour Pharmacy.

 

We are seeking a full time Pharmacist for 39 hours per week and are located between Preston and Lancaster, just 20 minutes from the M6. Ample on-site parking provided for all staff. You must possess an Independent Prescriber qualification and should have experience working in a GP Surgery. The role will be working in a clinical setting with face to face consultations with patients and also over the phone. You will need experience in minor ailment, hypertension, diabetes and asthma, but these are not limited. You will be carrying out clinical medication reviews. You will assist with general medicines management duties which may include auditing, monitoring and reviewing prescribing and other associated areas and ensure CCG guidelines are met by regularly reviewing relevant communications and actioning whilst prescribing. You will also rotate through our onsite customer focused Pharmacy carrying out all Pharmacy services to a high standard.

 

This unique opportunity requires a successful, forward-thinking motivated Pharmacist who has a hands-on approach to multi-tasking, supporting both the teams and patients, a pragmatic approach to working in a busy environment with attention to detail and exceptional customer service and communication skills. Salary is dependent on experience.
