Job Description

The Pre-registration pharmacist a crucial part of the pharmacy team, offering great service and compelling reasons for customers to come back time and time again. The candidate will become part of the local community, giving advice about over the counter medicines, prescription only medicines and general health.

The successful candidate will undertake a Medicine Counter Assistant training course if they haven’t already as well as being sent on an off site Pre-registration pharmacist training day once a month.The ideal candidate should be confident, possess good customer service skills, an ability to communicate and learn about new products and pharmacy services and work well in a busy environment, a dynamic pharmacy team is central to our success. The business is a family run business, and has been under the same management for over 35 years and as such we require a candidate that is personable and able to build a rapport with colleagues and regular customers.

Day to day activities include, but are not limited to receiving and checking deliveries from major suppliers, stock management, offering advice about over the counter medicines and prescription only medicines, preparing dossett boxes for less able patients and dispensing prescriptions.

There are two positions available:

Monday to Friday 10am to 7pm with a one hour lunch break each day and alternate Saturdays (however when working on Saturday they would get a Monday off) and the candidate would need to start their training by mid August.

Sunday to Thursday, the hours for Sunday would be 10am to 2pm and Monday to Thursday would be 10am to 7pm with a one hour lunch break, the candidate would need to start their training by mid July.

We do not offer tier two or tier 5 sponsorship to students who require a visa, you must be able to work in the UK to apply for this position.
