Job Description

Leyland Late Night Pharmacy is a busy, independent community pharmacy looking to take on two pre-registration pharmacists for the 2018-19 year. Successful applicants will be offered a very competitive salary and the offer to have their GPhC Pre-registration examination fees paid for.

We offer an established training programme with real hands-on experience and excellent support. Our trainees attend study days at Blackburn and Burnley Hospital(s) under the tutelage of experienced practitioners. The training involves a summary of BNF chapters and calculations culminating in a mock exam towards the end of the year.

We are passionate about pharmacy with a real interest in training pharmacists fit for the future. Our fixed term one-year training is designed to give you the perfect foundation, providing you with the training and support you need to develop your skills, build your clinical and managerial knowledge and develop you as an all-round pharmacist.

2018-19 is set to be a very exciting year for the company as we are looking to expand our premises and provide additional services such as private PGDs. We already offer the emergency hormonal contraceptive service, minor ailments scheme, dispensing for smoking cessation patients, supervised methadone and buprenorphine services as well as providing dispensing services for blister patients and care homes. Trainees will also work alongside a range of multi-disciplinary staff such as trainee pharmacy technicians and independent prescribing pharmacist(s).
