Job Title: 2nd Pharmacist
Location: MediCare Pharmacy, Forestside Shopping Centre, Belfast, BT8 6FX
Reporting to: Pharmacy Manager
Salary Grade: M6
Contract Type: Full Time; Permanent
Hours of Work: Monday –Saturday (9:00am –10:00pm) (40 hours as per rota)

About Medicare:
MediCare is a modern and progressive local pharmacy group operating 53 busy, high volume retail pharmacies and 3 Health and Beauty Stores across Northern Ireland.

About You:
The successful candidate will be a registered Pharmacist ( or eligible to register in the Summer of 2018) with an excellent knowledge of the Pharmacy environment . Customer care will be at the forefront of your concern with every patient being treated as an individual. Using your expert knowledge you will assist our customers by recommending and promoting our range of health services.
Primary Purpose:
To support the Pharmacy Manager in the effective and efficient operation of the Pharmacy; to maximise NHS dispensing and the provision of Professional services; to maximise the OTC sales and profitability of the branch and to ensure all staff and pharmacists working within the branch comply with all statutory and/or professional obligations.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Candidates must demonstrate on their application how they meet the following criteria:

ESSENTIAL:
Applicants must be a qualified Pharmacist registered with, or eligible to be registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland .
Previous active involvement in Pharmacy services initiatives such as Smoking Cessation, Minor Ailments and Medicines Use Reviews, Medicines Management, Repeat Prescribing and experience of multiple dispensing including MDS.
Eligible to work in the UK ( Proof Requested).

DESIRABLE:
Previous experience within a busy retail environment.
Previous experience of Medicare’s Standard Operating Procedures.
