Location:    MediCare Pharmacy, Unit 6 & 7 Rathmore Centre, Eastway, Creggan,  L’Derry, BT48 9QA
Reporting to:   Area Pharmacy Manager
Salary Grade:     M4 ( circa £33,000)
Contract Type:     Full Time; Permanent
Hours of Work:     Monday – Friday 9.00 am to 6 pm; Saturday 9:30am – 5:30pm  (40 hours over 5 days as per rota)

MediCare is a modern and progressive local pharmacy group operating 53 busy, high volume retail pharmacies and 3 Health and Beauty Stores across Northern Ireland.
About You:
The successful candidate will be a registered Pharmacist with an excellent knowledge of the Pharmacy environment and have post qualification experience within Community Pharmacy. Customer care will be at the forefront of your concern with every patient being treated as an individual. Using your expert knowledge you will assist our customers by recommending and promoting our range of health services.
Primary Purpose:
Pharmacist Manager will include some Sunday/Public Holiday rota as required.
To ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Pharmacy; to maximise NHS dispensing and the provision of Professional services; to maximise the OTC sales and profitability of the branch and to ensure all staff and pharmacists working within the branch comply with all statutory and/or professional obligations.
Candidates must demonstrate on their application how they meet the following criteria:
ESSENTIAL:
Applicants must be a qualified Pharmacist registered with, or eligible to be registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland.
Experience in a retail Pharmacy.
An up-to-date knowledge of changes within Pharmacy
Completion of any NICPLD/HSCB courses which are compulsory components for delivery service (e.g., PMR)
Current valid work permit to work in the UK ( proof requested)

DESIRABLE:
Postgraduate qualification in Pharmacy
Experience managing a community pharmacy
Previous active involvement in Pharmacy services initiatives such as Smoking Cessation, Minor Ailments and Medicines Use Reviews and experience of multiple dispensing including MDS.
