At Nelson’s Pharmacy, we aim to provide the best care possible to the communities we serve. We have an opportunity for an Accredited Checking Technician/Trainee ACT to join our team and help us do exactly that!
By taking a patient centred approach, you’ll be providing services to a level that maintains the trust that patients have in us and helping your colleagues to do the same.
You will deliver services within the pharmacy and ensure that medicines are supplied safely to patients by performing the final accuracy check. By guiding and supporting your colleagues and working closely with our Pharmacist you’ll be a crucial part of our business and service development.
Your duties will include:
Achieving targets regarding dispensary flow and enhancing services income.
Complying with legal and professional requirements and the Standard Operating Procedures in place at Nelson’s Pharmacy.
Helping patients feel cared for by having personalised conversations with each individual and coaching your colleagues to do the same.
Utilising opportunities such as the Collaborative Working Scheme to engage external stakeholders regarding our products and services with a view to increasing them.
Ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and checking of prescriptions.
Any other tasks that need doing, we are all family at Nelson’s so we all pitch in where needed!
We would ideally like to hear from applicants who are already fully qualified and currently working as Accredited Checking Technicians, however we would be open to receiving applications from current Pharmacy Technicians (Registered with the GPhC for at least two years and with 6 months relevant dispensing experience within the last twelve months) that are interested in taking the next step in their careers.
