Job Description

Dispensary Manager Responsibilities: Overall responsibility of pharmacy ranging from managing and providing a high quality and professional pharmacy services that comply with the standards of the General Pharmaceutical Council. Have an active role in creating and updating standard operating procedures whenever necessary. Ensuring a safe and clean working environment. Maintaining and developing relationships both with our customers and pharmaceutical company representatives. Fully experienced in using PROSCRIPT systems as well as with Electronic prescription handling, labelling and dispensing. Must be experienced in NHS prescribing rules and regulations, procedures such as receiving, handling and checking legality of prescriptions including labelling and dispensing. Able to prepare, track prescriptions and guide others about NOMAD trays for elderly people. To track any emergency supplies given, keeping record of private prescriptions, end of month prescription filling and submission. Taking appropriate actions regarding any updates and guidelines provided by MHRA and other healthcare providers. Able to manage stock for both Pharmacy lines and Prescription only items, their storage and expiry date checking to ensure patient safety. Qualification/Skills Required: Masters in Pharmacy degree or equivalent degree qualification in pharmacy related subjects Minimum of two years-full time experience in an independent pharmacy Good communication skills, maintaining high level of customer service, hard-working, well spoken and presented, quality focus, attention to detail ability to learn quickly, self confident and independent. Ability to work under pressure, multilingual skills would be an advantage to help serve local communities with language problems Require to work on weekends as our pharmacy is open from 8.00am to 10.30pm seven days a week.
