Job Description

We currently have vacant positions for pre-registration students for this year at both branches.

Student(s) would gain experience in pharmacies which are a long established pharmacy business in Redbridge and Newham with more than 30 years experience. We clearly understand the demographics of the population in Redbridge and Newham and the health needs of this population. We deliver on the aspirations of Redbridge commissioners and Newham commissioners vision of integrated pharmacy services within a centre of excellence. We won the Pharmacy Business Magazine Pharmacy Business of the Year Award 2014, Pharmacy Business and C+D Pharmacy Innovation Award 2010. I am aware of the procurement process for services

Through both our branches in Redbridge and Newham we have established an extensive range of NHS and Private Enhanced services which help improve access and help deliver key public health targets for both Newham and Redbridge

Key services currently provided
1. Needle Exchange
2. Shared Care Substance Misuse Service (Supervised Consumption of Methadone and Buprenorphine)
3. Supply of Emergency Hormonal Contraception and Contraception Advice
4. C-Card (Condom Card) registration and supply
5. Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea Screening with treatment for diagnosed patients (with contact tracing)
6. Medicines Reviews
7. Medicines Management and Prescribing Reviews at General Practices
8. Full Cardiovascular and Diabetes Risk Assessments
9. Weight management clinics
10. Minor Ailments
11. Private Travel Clinics, and other private doctor consultations, private blood test clinics
12. Repeat Dispensing Scheme
13. Supply to care homes (including monitoring of homes, training care staff and reviewing patients)
14. Over the counter medicines sales and advice to patients
15. Health promotion and sign posting
16. Direct Supervised observation of TB Therapy and Latent TB
