Shivakem Pharmacy is a warm family-run independent pharmacy with lots of friendly regular customers. The pharmacy has recently been refurbished providing a fresh new environment for the student to work in with up to date equipment. The pharmacy staff are well trained and extremely helpful and will support the pre-reg in their training. We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic pre-reg pharmacist to join our team.

Here at Shivakem Pharmacy we aim to give our students the best training program with tutors and mentors that will be present full time and are both highly experienced. Students will be fully involved with providing advice, recommending suitable products to patients presenting with minor aliments.

There will be a broad range of dispensing covered such as NHS, electronic, private, repeat, CDs, dossett and veterinary prescriptions. Training from drug reps, services accreditation (smoking cessation), and ongoing appraisals will be carried out to allow the student to develop their knowledge and skill set. Students will be enrolled onto an external training program which is the best pre-reg training program in the UK in preparation for their exam. This course includes monthly training days with other pre-registration students where highly qualified pharmacy professionals will cover different topics such as pharmacy law, calculations, OTC training and other forms of pharmacy practice to supplement revision.

We provide lots of resources on site including past papers, books and materials to ensure our student is fully equipped. Overall it is a warm friendly environment which will provide students with great opportunities as they embark in a career as future pharmacists.
