PHARMACY COUNTER SALES ASSISTANT, Hoxton (Shoreditch) London N1 Full time (40 hours)
We are a well established family-run pharmacy in Hoxton (Shoreditch), London N1. We have a modern working environment offering many NHS & Private patient services. We are looking for someone with suitable skills to join our shop floor team and fill the position of retail pharmacy assistant. You will be working on the shop floor as a customer services sales assistant and supporting health promotion. You MUST have current UK retail experience.
This position is for Monday to Saturdays working on Rota Basis. You will be also expected to work on Sundays, Public and Bank Holidays depending on the Pharmacy being on a Rota at the time. Additional days to cover holidays will also be available from time to time.
This is a permanent position: This is not a temporary position

Turkish language skills would be beneficial

You MUST be able to demonstrate those in the ‘essential’ column listed:

You ESSENTIAL

Retail counter sales experience (current)
Good spoken and written English
Essential numeracy skills
Full UK work permit
Able to work Monday-Saturday (40 hours) and on Sundays, Public and Bank Holidays if Pharmacy is on Rota
Ability/flexibility to extend hours to cover staff holiday leave.
Basic knowledge of MS ‘Word’ & MS ‘Excel’
Basic IT skills (data entry)
Cash handling/till work experience/shop floor customer service
Clean CRB check/Disclosure & Barring Service check (or able to pass one when required)

You PREFERABABLY WILL HAVE:

Pharmacy training NVQ level 1/ ‘pharmacy interact’ or ‘medicines counter assistant’ or equivalent.
