Job Description

The company is seeking a permanent part time dispenser/assistant working for 30-35 hours per week. Salary is negotiable based on personal qualifications and relevant work experience. Candidates with dispensary assistant (NVQ2), medicine counter assistant (MCA) certification and/or other relevant experience are highly regarded. Suitable candidates with non-pharmacy background will be given training.
Working Hours = flexible
Duties required for Pharmacy Dispenser/Assistant include:
• Providing an efficient and effective over-the-counter service
• Providing healthcare and medical information to customers and patients
• Taking in and handling prescriptions ( checking, labeling and dispensing prescriptions etc.)
• Collecting prescriptions from surgeries & delivering prescriptions to patients (as required)
• Stock Maintenance: Ordering and filling up stocks on a regular basis
• Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the pharmacy
• Committing to ongoing pharmacy education and training
• Working on Saturday (1 in 5 rota – 8.30 to 12.30pm) depending on staff level
Required skill
• GCSE or equivalent qualifications: Grade A to C including English and Maths
• Show initiatives and be self motivated to work well with our friendly team
• Good communication skill and be able to multi-task in a busy environment
• Good written and verbal English language skills required
• Attention to detail is an essential attribute
• Willingly to work overtime covering sickness and holidays
• Clean full UK or EU driving license plus point
