Job Description

Friendly independent pharmacy seeks driven and passionate dispenser on a full-time basis.

Job responsibilities:

• Working under the supervision of the responsible pharmacist dispensing prescription medication and other medical products to patients following legislative and pharmacy policies.
• Prepare prescriptions for patients as directed.
• Dossett trays preparation.
• Performing administrative duties, including answering phones, receiving and inputting prescription orders, operating cash registers, and restocking inventory.
• Gathers organises and assesses patient information.
• Supplying patients with information and advice on their prescription medication.
• Liaises with healthcare providers and patients to obtain correct prescription information.
• Answers patients’ questions about their medications under the supervision of the pharmacist.
• Stock management and control.
• Placing orders for prescriptions as directed by the pharmacist.
• Maintains electronic patient information.
• Selling of over-the-counter medications as well as other pharmaceutical products.
• Able to maintain the cleanliness of the pharmacy.
• Keep up to date with training and current UK regulations governing pharmacy.

Skills and Qualifications:

Must be qualified dispensing assistant, organised, detail-oriented, works effectively independently and within a team, has excellent customer service skills, good verbal and non-verbal communication, good listener, can follow direction, discreet, computer literate and able to work with pharmacy PMR systems, good knowledge of pharmacy regulations, ability to multi-task.
