Job Description

This post can be either full-time or part-time.

The Specialist Pharmacy works in the unique area of specialised compounding and are market leaders compounding medicines for bio-identical hormone treatment. You join a team of professionals who work closely to provide first class services to clients using bio-identical hormones.
The Accuracy Checking Technician plays a vital role in assuring the quality of the prescriptions dispensed. They work alongside our pharmacists in delivering a wide range of prescriptions by adhering to the quality standards set out by the General Pharmaceutical Council.
This role is perfect for an ambitious individual who has the ability to build strong relationships with various healthcare professionals. You will develop an understanding of the evolving world of compounding pharmacy and have the opportunity to learn new skills along the way.
You will be responsible for supporting the efficient delivery of the service, working as a reliable member of the pharmacy team to provide an efficient, safe and accurate pharmacy service.

You must be able to work under pressure, undertaking a variety of activities including accuracy checking, labelling and dispensing medications, plus you will be involved in the procurement of medicines and stock management.

Applicants must have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of delivering excellent customer service
  • A positive attitude and friendly demeanour
  • Accuracy Checking qualification (with Buttercups or the National Pharmaceutical Association)
  • GPhC Registration
