The Nelson Pharmacy Pre-Registration Training:

Placement at the Nelson Pharmacy, located within The Nelson Health Centre (part of the St Geoges NHS trust) will allow you the best foundation to your pharmacy career. You will have access to two experienced pharmacists during your year. Raj Patel, an independent prescriber and established pharmacist with over a decade of experience and awards such as the UniChem pharmacy award under his belt. As well as Atanas Ilchev, whose experience in industry has allowed him second to none clinical knowledge. In the dispensary you will be on the forefront of clinical service. From providing a myriad of services, to handling items not yet even licenced in the UK. This of course stems from the environment the pharmacy is placed in. The Nelson Health Centre boasts tens of GP, Nurses and Specialist consultants in dermatology, cardiology and colorectal services to name a few. This is a fast paced and high pressure but highly rewarding pharmacy, in which you will gain great satisfaction from the exemplary service provided to our patients. The pharmacy requires a dedicated, hardworking and sharp minded individual who is proactive rather than reactive and who is willing to go the extra miles to provide a service not seen in any other community pharmacy. The Nelson moves with the times with use of technology to improve service, from our repeat ordering app and delivery route tracking system, to our state of the art dispensing robot. We pride ourselves on our multidisciplinary environment with has strong links to allow for intricate systems of care via triaging and input from various types of healthcare professionals to maximise patient benefit from our care.
