Job Description

When I started my pharmacy career all you needed to do a “good” job was to be proficient at dispensing. There were virtually no services and clinical pharmacy input was non-existent in community pharmacy.

Roll on a few years and if you want a training position in my pharmacy you will be expected use your clinical knowledge on a daily basis, especially when I need assistance in making prescribing decisions.

You will be exposed to a range of NHS and private clinics such as our Aesthetic Clinic and Travel Vaccination Clinics.

And I will be discussing digital marketing with you – a must for running a business today, whatever you choose to do with the rest of your life.

There are benefits in working for a big company. However, the benefits of working for a small entrepreneurial company like mine is that you are exposed to the full range of day to day activities of the business, rather than having Head Office do them for you. This will set you up to take charge of a pharmacy from day one.
