Despite an announcement by the World Health Organization (WHO) that a booster dose of the yellow fever vaccine is not necessary, the National Travel Health Network and Centre (NaTHNaC) is continuing to advise yellow fever vaccination centres in England, Wales and Northern Ireland that a booster dose of yellow fever vaccine is administered in accordance with the current UK guidelines. This will be the case until further guidance is received from WHO and the Joint Committee of Vaccination. NPA Pharmacy Services will therefore continue to advise in accordance with both NaTHNaC and the UK guidelines.
