NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills

Ongoing support and resources from the NPA

As of March 2020, the NPA is no longer taking new enrolments on the NVQ Level 3 Diploma course. However, this does not affect your studies in any way, as the NPA will continue to support you until you have completed the course.

The addendum below lists the resources and support that are available to you.

Unit Guide

There have been some changes to the way evidence is gathered for NVQ Level 3 portfolios. The NPA no longer requires you to send in supporting documentation with your witness testimonies (activity logs).

This means that going forward you should not be sending in any prescription copies, labels, photos, SOPs, PILS, SPCs or any other documents, as evidence to support your logs.

It is important that you read through this addendum as it should reduce significantly the documentation required within your portfolio.

A number of changes have occurred since the publication of the Student Guide to the Units prior to 2017. The cover of this guide also reads: Competency-Based Units.

It is important that you work through this addendum as it affects the work that you need to do for the qualification.

Note: If an assessment criterion (AC) is written in black, it must be covered twice; if an AC is written in blue, it can be covered once. If AUPK is being accepted, the AC must be covered once more via an activity log.
