Pharmacy Strategy 2020 outlines an enhanced model of care, sustaining the safe dispensing of medicines, while creating a portfolio of new services that will keep Londoners healthy.
The Pharmacy Strategy 2020, created by London’s Local Pharmaceutical Committees, sets out an extensive range of healthcare services that can be provided locally by community pharmacists and their teams.
Services include screening, preventing, detecting, diagnosing and managing ill-health when Londoners become sick. It serves the interests of local people, empowering patients and fits with within the changing landscape of primary care and the dynamics of the emerging integrated care systems and primary care networks across London. It will contribute to making London the healthiest city.
The online launch of the Strategy will provide an opportunity to learn about the London Community Pharmacy ‘offer to London’ and receive valuable insight on the future of pan-London pharmacy services from the co-authors of Pharmacy Strategy 2020 and its contributors and supporters.
Parliamentary Under-Secretary at the Department of Health and Social Care, Jo Churchill, will address the event.
