Dedicated Data Protection Officer (DPO) Workshops - specifically for community pharmacy are now available from the NPA. Book your place now
As you may be aware, the GDPR requires all organisations to put in place an accountability-based compliance framework for data protection and Data Protection Officers. DPOs will be at the heart of this new legal framework.
Dedicated Data Protection Officer (DPO) workshop – specifically for community pharmacy now available from the NPA
The NPA has developed guidance especially for community pharmacy in a three-hour workshop, which includes the full workshop, learning assessment, refreshments and networking time with your peers.
What you can expect…
This will give you information on how to become DPOs, including the responsibilities of a DPO and the differences between the role of a data controller and the GDPR requirements. This will include real life examples and scenarios you can compare to your business on how to raise data protection awareness, train others in data protection, undertake audits and checklists. Your learning will be assessed at the end of the session and you will receive a certificate of attendance.
Each workshop will be delivered by Leyla Hannbeck, the NPA’s Director of Pharmacy, or a member of her Pharmacy team, and will ensure that you are aware of the actions that need to be taken within your pharmacies and business as a whole.
We look forward to seeing you soon
